The Torah is likened to a Tree of Life. Why? Because we believe that the Torah gives the Jewish People eternal life. We survive and thrive because Jews since the time of antiquity have lived the teachings of sacred heritage as presented in the Torah, rabbinic commentaries, and all that has come forth from the various lands where Jews have called home.
Last summer, our temple member, Sandy Singco, graciously and generously offered to create a monthly program for young children (ages 5-10). This new endeavor is open to temple members or not-yet-members who want to give their children a "taste of Judaism" and give parents an opportunity to do some learning as well!
Join us! Bring your children or grandchildren to Temple Sholom for the following monthly Fridays at 4:30pm for a little pre-Shabbat learning and singing, community building, and even a nosh! We anticipate a bit of a "one room schoolhouse" feel with each day having a focus, as indicated.
November 15 - Shabbat
December 20 - Hanukkah
February 7 - Tu BiShvat
March 7 - Purim
April 4 - Pesach
May 16 - Lag BaOmer / Shavuot
In order to help us prepare and to answer any questions, please feel free to reach out to Sandy Singco (sssingco@gmail.com). There is no financial obligation, though donations are gladly accepted!
Let either Sandy or me know if you have any questions and do let us know if you will plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to share this email with your friends, family, neighbors, or others you might think are interested!
L'shalom,

Please note: To accommodate our few member families with young children, we gladly help offset the cost of tuition at nearby synagogues with weekly religious schools. These families are certainly welcome to join us on these special Fridays!!
