When will the 2019-20 State Budget Bill officially be presented to the Governor for his action?   It was presented to him today.

SB 2500, Florida's FY 2019-20 $91.1 billion budget bill that the Florida Legislature passed on May 4, was presented to Governor DeSantis today.  He  has  until Saturday, June 29, 2019, to act on this bill and SB 2502 (Implementing Bill).  We'll notify you when he takes action.  We expect it to be next week.

 

What is proposed in the budget bill to fund DOS DCA matching grants?

Here are the proposed $21,250,028 appropriations in SB 2500 to fund the Florida Department of State (DOS) Division of Cultural Affairs (DCA) 2019-20 matching grants:

● $2,980,028 to fully fund all 132 Culture Builds Florida Matching Grants

● $12,300,000 for Cultural and Museum Matching Grants (would provide approximately 29% of each of the 478 recommended grant amounts)

● $5,970,000 for Cultural Facilities Matching Grants (would fund first 18 on ranked list and partially fund #19)
