With the Governor’s signature yesterday on the main state budget bill, the Partnership is pleased to summarize the outcomes of this year’s difficult budget process.
The Partnership applauds the hard and effective work of the broad coalition of housing organizations that made this modest victory possible (see this week’s coalition statement).
KEY WINS
- $500 million in state Low Income Housing Tax Credits for 2025
- $315M restored to the Multifamily Housing Program (MHP)
- $1 billion for the Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention (HHAP)
- $525M retained for the Equitable Building Decarbonization Program
As the $45 billion deficit still forced cuts to housing programs including Foreclosure Intervention Housing Preservation Program, Infill Infrastructure Grant (IIG), CalHome and others, our work continues.
