Working with agencies to create realistic job preview videos has been a great tool in helping with recruitment. Potential candidates are able to get a behind-the-scenes look at certain positions within state government. Does your agency have a hard to fill position that you think would be interesting to highlight? Let us know!


CPTP Launches New Season of Success Series Webinars
This year's new format brings even more in-depth topics, guests, and opportunities for you to participate in the programs. A new segment, Success Series Salute, allows you to nominate a state employee who has gone above and beyond in their service to the state and the citizens they serve. 



Excellent Compliance Audits
State Civil Service would like to commend the following agencies for an excellent Compliance Audit:

  • Acadiana Area Human Services District—Perfect Report!
  • Northeast Delta Human Services Authority—Perfect Report!
  • Board of Regents
  • Louisiana Tech University
  • Sabine River Authority

These agencies achieved 90% compliance or higher in all categories audited, had no areas of concern, and no major rule violations. Acadiana Area Human Services District and Northeast Delta Human Services Authority received a perfect report, achieving 100% compliance in all categories audited! The results received by these agencies show the value and importance of excellence they place on Civil Service rule compliance. They are to be commended for a job well done!

Louisiana Civil Service League honored
Charles E. Dunbar, Jr. Award Recipients
This award, named for the founder of the League and co-author of the original Civil Service Law in Louisiana, is presented to employees in a classified merit system who have distinguished themselves by service over and above the call of duty. Over 800 State and local classified civil service employees have been honored with this prestigious award for their distinguished service since the award's inception in 1958.

Winners of the 62nd annual Charles E. Dunbar, Jr., Career Service Award, presented by the Louisiana Civil Service League, were announced on February 7, 2022, by Daniel E. Sullivan, Executive Vice President of the League. They received the award during the annual luncheon, which took place on February 11, 2022, in New Orleans.
