State Civil Service Announces Renaming of

SCS Recruiting and Outreach Center

Louisiana State Civil Service is pleased to announce the renaming of the new SCS Recruiting and Outreach Center, formerly known as the Testing and Recruiting Center. The change stems from the recent decision to remove the Professional Level Exam (PLE) and Office Support Exam (OSE) in January 2024 from the recruitment process.

“The Recruiting and Outreach Center aims to strengthen educational outreach to the public, community colleges, and universities regarding job opportunities within state government,” said Byron P. Decoteau, Jr., SCS Director. “Additionally, the center will continue to serve walk-ins who are interested in exploring how their skills can align with state job opportunities.”
