The Idaho Transportation Department will reach a major construction milestone this week at the future intersection of US-20/26 and State Highway 16. Motorists can expect nighttime delays and a new traffic pattern by the end of the week.
What to expect:
June 19:
Flaggers will direct traffic at the US-20/26 and SH-16 intersection from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Please allow extra time when travelling through the area.
June 20:
Flaggers will direct traffic on US-20/26 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Permanent traffic signals will begin operating on US-20/26 that night.
Traffic will begin using the new northern ramps to get on and off SH-16.
This week’s changes will make room for crews to build a bridge for the future US-20/26 interchange. To read more about the future interchange at US-20/26 and SH-16, click here.
