Jewish Life League Letter - News and Updates

Greetings and Shalom! All attention has been on the Dobbs abortion case (the Mississippi law the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear). The law bans almost all elective abortions after 15 weeks, when babies are killed by dismembering their limbs and the unborn child can feel pain. The only exceptions to the law are if the woman's physical life is threatened. This is an important case that will decide whether all pre-viability abortions are unconstitutional. This case could determine whether there is a chance that Roe v. Wade will be overturned by the Court. 

STATE BILLS PROTECTING LIFE

The Charlotte Lozier Institute reports that as of May 31, 2021, 489 pro-life bills have been advanced by 48 U.S. state legislatures. These include pro-life bills that ban abortion after a heartbeat is detected, laws to protect disabled unborn children, laws to save the lives of infants born after botched abortions, and many more. At JLL we have a page dedicated to State Pro-Life Bills and we update it twice a month. We support any incremental legislation that will save unborn babies' lives. However, the U.S. Supreme Court has disappointed us repeatedly even though a majority of the Justices were appointed by Republican presidents.

The baby pictured above can be killed by abortion. Democrats remain inflexible in their mission to kill as many unborn children as possible up to birth and force taxpayers to fund it. By contrast, almost all Republicans in Congress support pro-life policies and consistently vote to save unborn babies. However, there are some Republican senators and representatives who are not pro-life and concede to Democrats' demands on abortion. The GOP Party pro-life platform is in name only. Their "big tent" policies go back decades and have been a tragedy for unborn children. In many cases GOP Party leaders have supported pro-abortion candidates over pro-life candidates. We cannot abide by this. We have killed nearly 63 million unborn babies in the United States for convenience. Antisemitism in Israel and America
