State of Our Union
This week, in fulfilling his Constitutional duty, President Biden delivered his State of the Union address to Congress. The President described a nation that is entirely different than the one Americans are experiencing.

The Biden Administration’s cancelation of the Keystone XL Pipeline and refusal to stop Russia from completing its previously sanctioned Nord Stream 2 pipeline paved the way for the crisis in Ukraine. Last year, imports of Russian oil reached the highest levels in a decade. $700 million per day between the U.S., the EU, and the UK are going to Russia every single day, financing the war with Ukraine.

At home, the American people continue to live under illogical COVID regulations which have caused their children to fall behind in schools and put the economy in crisis. The price of used cars is UP 40.5%. Beef prices are UP 16%. Prices at restaurants are UP 6.4%. Inflation is increasing faster than wages and is now costing the average American household over $250 a month.

Americans are struggling to afford filling up at the pump and heat their houses. Gas is UP 40%. Our country has not paid this much for gas since the Obama-Biden Administration. Households will pay between $700 and $1,700 more for heat this winter.

Since President Biden took office, over 2 MILLION illegal immigrants have been apprehended at our southern border. In January alone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that there were over 150,000 migrant encounters, and over 60,000 were released into the country. Also under President Biden, more police officers were killed in the line of duty in 2021 than in any year since 1995. Over a dozen U.S. cities set new homicide records.

It is clear after his address that President Biden does not have a path forward for our country nor does he claim responsibility for these failures. He is responsible for a national security crisis, an economic crisis, an energy crisis, a border crisis, and a crime crisis, while pushing for policies which will further harm the middle class and perpetuate our energy woes.

Talk Business & Politics:

U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford, R-Jonesboro, said Vladimir Putin is solely to blame for the invasion of Ukraine, and the First District Congressman said Europe must take a more active role in defending its continent from the Russian threat.
Crawford, who sits on the House Select Committee on Intelligence, discussed his December trip to Ukraine, where he visited with a number of high-ranking elected and military leaders.

In response to the Ukraine conflict, the U.S. should bolster its energy production at home, said U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford, R-Ark., following the speech.
