Patient Experience Survey Results Released
On August 2, MN Community Measurement released survey results on how patients rate their experience with Minnesota medical clinics. Using the CG-CAHPS® survey, more than 180,000 patients shared their opinions about care provided at more than 760 medical clinics. Read more here
Clinics Rewarded at Final Bridges to Excellence Program
Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed July 27, 2017 "Minnesota Excellence in Health Care Day" in recognition of the Minnesota Bridges to Excellence program and the excellent care provided by clinics treating patients with diabetes, vascular disease, and depression. A total of 222 clinics across the state were recognized at last week's final recognition reception program. Read more here.

MMA Leadership Elections

Elections for MMA's leadership are officially underway.  Ballots for the 2017 elections were sent to members via email earlier this week, and reminders will also be sent out.  Included in the ballot is information on each candidate running. The election will be open through Sept. 1, so please make sure you vote!
MMA Urges: Rally for Research on Aug. 5 at State Capitol
The MMA is partnering with the American Cancer Society and several other health care organizations to sponsor the Minnesota Rally for Research on Aug. 5 from 1 to 2:30 pm at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. Read more here
Two Seats Available on Drug Utilization Review Board
The Minnesota Department of Human Services is looking for two physicians to serve on their Drug Utilization Review (DUR) board.  The DUR board selects specific drug entities or therapeutic classes to be targeted for provider and recipient educational interventions, and provides guidelines for their use.  Meetings are held on a quarterly basis for approximately three hours at the Minnesota Department of Human Services.  Interested physicians can visit the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State's Open Positions page, for application information.  Applications must be submitted within 21 days of the "Publish Date" listed on the open positions page.
