Brooklyn, NY: Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn released the following statement after Democrat Eric Adams declared victory in the NYC mayoral race last night. The race was called at 9:20 p.m. last night by the Associated Press, and Adams was leading GOP contender Curtis Sliwa by nearly 40 percentage points as of this morning.
“We congratulate our next NYC Mayor Eric Adams on a well-deserved, historic victory. Adams’ win is a significant leap forward for Brooklyn, New York City, and the State.
