Statement from ICGC On The Recent Attacks on Church at Hanukkah
Dear Fellow Brothers and Sisters of the Jewish and Christian Faiths,

We, at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati (ICGC), would like to extend our solidarity with the Jewish and Christian communities. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we, at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, try to bear the terrible news about the recent acts of hate, intolerance, and vandalism against our Christian and Jewish brothers and sisters with the recent stabbings during Hanukkah in New York, and the brutal attack on Christians attending Church in White Settlement, Texas.

We are certain that such actions can cause people to feel afraid and concerned for their safety. It is very disheartening to hear about these senseless and hateful acts. We stand with the Christian and Jewish communities in their time of mourning and pledge our support. Hate-based terror and attacks at places of worship must not be allowed to continue in this country. Hand in hand with Christian and Jewish friends, ICGC is committed to continue its engagement to eradicate such acts so people of faith and moral conscience can profess and practice their religious duties without fear. We will stand alongside you to uphold the values of justice and compassion.

We pray for the security of the Jewish-American and Christian communities who have undoubtedly been shaken by these events. May God fill your hearts with peace. Amen
