Statement on the Horse Clarinius

It is with great sadness that we announce that Clarinius, ridden by Francie Nilforushan, and owned by Ali Nilforushan, collapsed and died following a successful round in the $135,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Las Vegas at The Las Vegas National, CSI4*-W on Saturday evening November 17, 2018. Clarinius, an 11-year-old, Holsteiner gelding, collapsed after exiting the outgate.

"We don't have confirmation, but cardiac failure is likely. Clarinius will go to a boarded pathologist for a post mortem," said Dr. Emily Sandler, FEI Veterinary Delegate.
