This month's monthly peer to peer group supervision guest speaker will Michele Stewart Copes  a national consultant on National Standards of Culturally Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) and Health Equity.  Michele will facilitate a discussion at our June 2nd -Group Soup about impact on culture with COVID-19 and strategies to care of ourselves during these challenges times.  On June 11th -Implicit Bias, how we need to recognize your own cultural strengths, bias, and commit to health equity. On June 25th- National CLAS, provide an overview of National Standards for Culturally Linguistically Appropriate Services and implementation strategies will be discussed.  You can attend 1 or all 3 of the workshops.  Join us at the gotomeeting link above and you can register at www.psnri.org to ensure you have a seat in these training opportunities.

Upcoming Distance Learning Opportunities
This online training is open to all state and community partners and individuals wanting to be introduced to recovery oriented system of care approaches and the delivery of peer based recovery support services.  It is a requisite for Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) Supervisors to attend.

Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)      Supervisor Training
June 17, 18, and 19,  2020 -  1 PM to 4 PM

This online training is for CPRS Supervisors and required for Medicaid reimbursement.  This 8 hour training will introduction to ROSC and PBRSS (see above); effective supervision approaches including trauma informed and cultural responsiveness; observing CPRS competencies across the domains of ethics, advocacy, mentoring and education, recovery and wellness; performance review and evaluation of delivery. 

P LEASE NOTE: Participants are required to be a Clinical Supervisor or a CPRS with a MINIMUM of Two (2) Years work experience.

P SN has centers open by appointment now in Middletown and Westerly.  We will be waiting a little longer to open downtown Newport center. We are still available by telephone and we are conducting ongoing mutual aid meetings representing a diversity of pathways to recovery and wellness. Our staff are here to support individuals statewide in  accessing treatment, Narcan, basic needs, and  essential   resources supportive of one's recovery and well-being
