Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I dedicate this time to you. I pray that you will meet me during this time. Open my spirit to hearing from you. My desire is to receive all that you have for me as I follow you to the cross. Amen.

SCRIPTURE: John 19:30
Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

The phrase “It is finished” in Greek is one word. Interestingly, it is the word that Greek store keepers would write on a receipt to signify “Paid in full.” It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been or what you’ve done. “It is finished” – your sin debt is paid in FULL.

SCRIPTURE: Luke 23:46-47
Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.
The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man."

Jesus committed his Spirit to God the Father. As you have joined him on every step of the journey, join him, now, in committing all of your life for the rest of your life to God.

If you have never committed yourself to being a follower of Jesus, we encourage you to do so now by praying a prayer like this:

Dear Jesus,
I am amazed by your love for me. I have sinned and disobeyed you and because of that sin I know I am separated from your life. But I believe that you are the Son of God who died on the cross to forgive me. I recognize that I need your salvation. I now confess and renounce my sin and I choose to commit all of my life for the rest of my life to following you. Come into my life and be my Savior and Leader. I thank you for your love and forgiveness. I thank you that your presence has just entered my life. And I ask you to give me the strength and courage to leave my old ways and live your new life. Amen.
If you just prayed that prayer, congratulations! Welcome to the Kingdom of God! We would like to know about your decision. Please contact us at and in return we will send you free materials that will help you start growing in your new relationship with Jesus.

Take time to contemplate Jesus’ death for you. Express your feelings to Jesus in prayer. Consider writing out your prayer. You may be surprised at how powerful writing out a prayer can be.
