Please note that Babson will be closed beginning December 24th through January 2nd.

How to Make the Most of your Winter Break!

Winter break is a valuable opportunity for Babson students to recharge and invest in their professional growth. Here are practical ways to make the most of this time, along with resources available through Babson CCD:


Explore Career Options & Set Goals

  • Reflect on your interests, skills, and experiences from the past semester.
  • Set short- and long-term career goals to guide your job/internship search.
    

Job & Internship Search

  • Research companies and opportunities; start applications early.
  • Use Handshake, LinkedIn and company websites to find current openings and apply directly. 
    

Networking

  • Connect with Babson alumni via LinkedIn.
  • Attend local or virtual networking events; leverage family and friends for introductions.
  • Update your LinkedIn profile and reach out for informational interviews.
    

Professional Development

  • Update your resume and cover letters; use VMock for virtual resume reviews.
  • Review class material or take online courses (Babson provides LinkedIn Learning access).
  • Participate in case or other competitions for skill-building and networking.
    

Volunteer

  • Volunteer locally or virtually to build skills and expand your network.
  • Highlight volunteer experience on your resume - employers value it.

Accuracy Business Cup (ABC)

ABC is an international business case competition designed for students looking to develop strong business skills and gain early professional experience. This year, all participating countries will work on a single common theme: the future of the automotive industry. During the competition, you will work under the supervision of Accuracy consultants and present your recommendations to the leaders of a major listed company.

Undergraduate CCD Availability:



Schedule a 30-minute appointment with a Career Adviser via Handshake. An appointment can be made virtually, or in person (when the office is open), every day of the week from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:30am - 4:00pm on Fridays.
