Treasurer’s Report (Due Oct. 31)

If your municipality’s fiscal year begins May 1, last year’s treasurer’s report must be filed with the clerk by October 31 and published in a local newspaper (or posted in three public places if population <500).

Unclaimed Property (Due Nov. 1)

Municipalities must report and remit unclaimed property to the State Treasurer by November 1 each year. The report covers activity from three years prior (e.g., 2025 report = July 1, 2021–June 30, 2022).

Due diligence notices are required for property worth $50 or more.
File electronically through ICASH for Business.
Remit funds via ACH through Illinois ePay.
