March 2026

Mayor's Message

As we turn the page to March, there’s a renewed sense of energy throughout Woodcliff Lake. The longer days and hints of warmer weather remind us that spring is just around the corner — and with it comes a season filled with activity, connection, and community spirit.

March brings several wonderful opportunities for residents of all ages to gather and participate.

We are excited to host our Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the first time at Woodcliff Park on Saturday, March 21st. This beloved tradition is always a highlight for our youngest residents and their families, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our new location for a morning filled with fun and celebration.

Later in the month, on Saturday, March 28th, the Borough will hold our Community Shredding Day at the Ecology Center. This event offers residents a secure and environmentally responsible way to dispose of sensitive documents while supporting sustainability efforts within our community.

With spring approaching, it’s also time to begin thinking about the exciting programs that make Woodcliff Lake such a vibrant place to live. Registration is now open for:

  • Tennis Programs
  • Camp Algonquin Summer Camp
  • Old Mill Pool Memberships

Warm weather is on the horizon, and our spring and summer programs fill quickly. I encourage you to register early to ensure your family can take full advantage of everything our Recreation Department has planned.

The months ahead promise opportunities to gather outdoors, reconnect with neighbors, and enjoy the many amenities our Borough proudly offers. Thank you for continuing to take part in the programs, events, and initiatives that strengthen our community.

Wishing you and your families a wonderful start to the spring season.

Warm regards,

Carlos A. Rendo

Shade Tree Committee

🌳 Help Keep Woodcliff Lake Green 🌳

The Borough of Woodcliff Lake is known for its beautiful and diverse tree canopy. The Shade Tree Committee works year-round to protect and preserve this vital community resource. Each year, however, hundreds of trees are lost due to age, storm damage, decline, or necessary removals.

You can help keep our canopy strong!

Residents are encouraged to:

  • Plant a tree on their own property, or
  • Apply for a free street tree by completing the Shade Tree Committee Request for Tree Planting form and returning it to Borough Hall.

Every new tree planted makes a difference for our environment and future generations.

🌱 Choosing the Right Tree

Native trees are especially beneficial—they support local wildlife, adapt well to New Jersey’s climate, and help ensure a healthy, resilient canopy.

Explore New Jersey–native tree options through the Native Plant Society of New Jersey:

🌿 Stay Connected & Get Involved

Together, we can keep Woodcliff Lake green, healthy, and thriving. 🌳
