Music at the Museum - THANK YOU!
We want to express our deep appreciation to all who attended the Topsham Expresso Rotary’s annual Music at the Museum event and pledged support to the Robert C Davis Endowment for Youth and Early Childhood Development at the Bath YMCA. That night you raised over $6,000 in less than ten minutes to sustain Bob’s vision forever to invest in children’s futures here in midcoast Maine. Thank you all! Annual Meeting Recap

Over 100 members enjoyed music, dinner, and catching up with friends at the Y’s Annual Meeting on February 28th. We’re thrilled to welcome our new board members, voted in at the meeting, including Bill Haggett, Bunny McBride, John Pavan and Jeff Peavey. Keri Seitz and Amy Berube renewed for a second term.

Board volunteers reported on the status of the Y’s capital campaign to ensure “One Y for All” and to increase our impact in the greater midcoast region. Y members were invited to take part in the community phase to help raise funds to renovate key areas of the Bath facility and purchase the Landing Y property.

We were pleased to honor the following for their active involvement in the Y. We are better together! Thank you all:

  • Youth Development: High school student Audrey Crews, for her role assisting in Youth Gymnastics.

  • Healthy Living: Steve August, Randy Howell, John Mulrooney, Tom Masucci, Jeff Peavey and Elise & Brian Straus-Bowers for being there for their friend Bill Howell.

  • Social Responsibility: Merrymeeting Gleaners, for contributing fresh, local fruits and vegetables to our Free Summer Meals for Kids program. Accepting the award were Kelly Davis, Michelle Rines, Sue Elsaesser, Judy Montgomery and Sandy Hempe.

  • Family of the Year: The Martin-Tetreault family, for their dedication and participation in the Long Reach Swim Program.

  • Volunteer of the Year: John Coray, for his compassion and kindness he shares through volunteering with the Rock Steady Boxing program and other classes supporting those with Parkinson’s Disease.
