2023 Annual Meeting Details
WHEN & WHERE
  • Saturday, April 29, 2023 | Tomah Recreation Park, Recreation (gold) Building

BUSINESS MEETING
  • Registration begins at 8 a.m. with business meeting to start at 9 a.m. and end by 10 a.m.

FOOD & GIFTS
  • Each member account will receive a welcome gift at registration.
  • Enjoy donuts, coffee, milk and juice prior to the business meeting.

DRAWINGS
  • (5) $100 and (1) $250 bill credits will be drawn. Only registered voting members in attendance are eligible.
  • Tree giveaway and Tesla reservation drawings.

CULVER'S GIFT CARD
  • All members in attendance will receive a $10 Culver's gift card and ice cream token following the business meeting.
Employment Opening
Chief Mechanic
A high school education or equivalent is required. Completion of a vo-tech, military, or other recognized mechanic training program or equivalent is desired. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in vehicle repair is preferred. Thorough knowledge and experience with, but not limited to, hydraulic systems, gas engines, diesel engines, electrical systems, drive trains, and chassis components. Must have and maintain a valid Wisconsin CDL. The cooperative may administer skills testing and/or assessments.

2022 Review from Manager & CEO and Board Chairman Rick Barrett

This last year allowed our cooperative to get back to a “new normal,” following worldly changes in the last two years. However, new challenges materialized in 2022 that your cooperative was readily prepared for.

The sale of electricity was strong causing annual kWh sales to rebound up from 2020 and 2021, to surpass more than 366 million kilowatts. These sales directly impacted the co-op’s rate structures and allowed for rates to remain steady despite sharp increases in material costs for distribution equipment. On average, those costs were 25% to 30% higher than previous years. Costs were also higher in fuel and our wholesale power bill. Read more..
Electrical Safety Poster Contest Rules:

  • Free entry
  • One entry per third-grade student*
  • The poster must be themed around Electrical Safety
  • No computer-generated images will be accepted
  • Posters should be at least 8.5x11-inches, but no larger than 11x14-inches.
  • Entries must include a completed entry form
  • Student's name must be written on the back of the poster
  • Entries must be submitted to Oakdale Electric Co-op no later than May 31, 2023.

Lineworker and At-Large/Non-Traditional scholarship essay submissions due: May 1, 2023.

Youth Essay Contest scholarships are available to current high school juniors. Students must attend Youth Leadership Conference July 11-13, 2023, to be eligible. Students should contact their school counselor or call 608-372-4131.
Plant Trees Energy Efficiently

This planting season, include energy efficiency in your landscaping plans. Adding shade trees around your home can reduce surrounding air temperatures by as much as 6 degrees. Plant deciduous trees around the south side of your home to block heat from the sun.
Deciduous trees provide excellent shade during the summer and lose their leaves in the fall and winter months, allowing sunlight to warm your home.
