Save the Date for Freedom Fright!

Get ready for two nights of Halloween excitement with Fort Bliss MWR and Freedom Crossing! Join us for Freedom Fright on Friday, 30 October and Saturday, 31 October at Freedom Crossing for a celebration like no other.

This year's Freedom Fright is all about the Monster Mash, inviting guests of all ages to put a monstrous twist on their favorite Halloween costumes! Both nights kick off with in-store trick-or-treating inside Freedom Crossing from 6–7 pm, then move outdoors for a full night of spooky fun from 7–10pm.

There will be a lot to do! Trunk-or-Treat returns with creatively decorated trunks stocked with candy and ready to delight every trick-or-treater. You can also stop by the face painting station, bounce in one of our many inflatables, listen to a spooky story time by the fireplace, dance to the Monster Mash with our live DJ, or test your courage inside our Unit haunted houses, available for $5 or less per person!

Whether you're a ghoul, a goblin, or a monster-mashed superhero, Freedom Crossing is the place to be for Halloween fun. Bring the whole family for a safe, spirited, and unforgettable evening! Enjoy a Halloween BOO-Ling Special at

Desert Strike Lanes!

Get ready for a hair-raising good time! Join us on Saturday, 17 October from 12–6pm for Desert Strike Lanes' Halloween Boo-ling Special, featuring spooky good deals all afternoon long!

Bowling will be just $3 per game per person, with hourly rates at $5 off and shoe rentals for only $2.50. Hungry ghouls can also enjoy $1 popcorn, $1.50 hot dogs, and $2 12 oz slushies throughout the event.

That's not all... don't miss the costume contest at 2pm for kids 17 and under! Come dressed as your spookiest self for a chance to win prizes. You'll also get a chance to decorate a bowling pin for just $5 and take it home with you!

Get Ready for Your PCS With Help From ACS

A Permanent Change of Station can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone!

Army Community Service's Relocation Readiness Program — "RELO" — is here to help you plan every step of your move, from understanding your orders to settling into your next duty station. RELO can help you create a custom moving checklist, learn more about your next installation, find schools, housing, and transportation, and best prepare you so you can leave your current location smoothly.

Don't know where to start? RELO hosts a free PCS 101 class, and the next one is WEDNESDAY, 7 October, from 9–11:30am at Main ACS (2494 Ricker Rd). MEET JOE MENDOZA!

Where You’re From: Wichita, KS

Role: Food & Beverage Attendant

Facility/Program: Monti Rec Center

Time at Fort Bliss MWR: 6 years

A fun fact about me: I haven't broken a single bone!

What people don't realize about my job: Juggling between multiple facilities! I move between different locations and events, and it takes a lot of coordination to keep track of what's going on at each place and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Favorite part of working here: Supporting the military community!
