Know Before You Go: 5 DAYS UNTIL...

This year, America turns 250, and we're excited to celebrate with you! For your experience at Biggs Park to be stress-free and full of FREE fun on 27 June, here's everything you need to know before you go!

What's on the Agenda:

• Gates open at 4pm
• Enjoy a variety of food trucks in three different locations around Biggs Park, family activities, and live entertainment throughout the evening!
• Opening performance by the 1AD Band
• Performance by Krystall Poppin
• Performance by Hot Chelle Rae
• Commander's remarks & a cappella National Anthem
• Performance by headliner Chris Young
• Conclude the night with the largest fireworks display in El Paso right here at Fort Bliss, proudly sponsored by USAA!

Safety Wristbands

For added safety, children ages 12 and younger can receive a wristband that includes parent contact information should they become separated from their family.

You still have time to get your wristband ahead of the event! Safety wristbands can be picked up at:

• LTS inside Freedom Crossing (1611 Marshall Rd)
• Biggs Park (11388 Sgt Major Blvd)
• Parent Central (1743 Victory Ave)

Wristbands will also be available upon entrance at Pop Goes the Fort!

Community Access Pass

If you're inviting family or friends without a valid DOD ID, be sure they grab a Fort Bliss Community Access Pass! Event-day traffic and Visitor Center lines are expected to be lengthy, so it helps to get your pass ahead of time!

Get yours before the big day online or in-person at the Visitor Center at Buffalo Soldier/Chaffee Gate.

Arrive early, stay hydrated, and get ready to celebrate Independence Day with great

entertainment, family fun, and a spectacular fireworks show!

We're incredibly excited to be partnering with Destination El Paso and the City of El Paso for a week of patriotic events starting with Pop Goes the Fort this weekend and ending 4 July with America's 250th Birthday Celebration!

Planning a Birthday Party?

Fort Bliss offers several great options to make your next birthday celebration easy and memorable!

Desert Strike Lanes (2949 Carter Road) features birthday packages starting at $199.95, including bowling, shoe rentals, pizza, and drinks. Reservations require a minimum of 10 guests and must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Call 915-568-6272 for more information!

Looking for a summer celebration? Reserve the Replica Aquatic Center, Community Pool, or Aquatics Training Center for a pool party between now and August 31! For pricing and reservations, call 915-568-7431 or 915-741-5901.

For an outdoor gathering, Biggs Park offers pavilion rentals, a splash pad, and party equipment rentals, including bounce houses, dunk tanks, grills, and canopies. Reservations are made in person on a first-come, first-served basis at 11388 Sergeant Major Boulevard. Office hours are Wednesday thru Sunday, 10am - 5:30pm. Whether you're planning a bowling bash, pool party, or park celebration, Fort Bliss has everything you need to host a fun-filled birthday!

Run For Freedom: Lace Up for Freedom

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to kick off the summer, join us at our Run for Freedom on Saturday, 11 July at Bliss-Smith Field (220 Sheridan Road). Event activities run from 7 to 9:30 am!

This patriotic event is more than just a race, it's a celebration of our nation and a tribute to the service members and families who sacrifice in its support.

Participants can sign up for one of two options:

• 5K Race: Begins at 8am
• 1-Mile Fun Run: Begins at 8:05am

There's something for every fitness level, making this a great outing for the whole family! Registration is free for participants ages 17 and under and $5 for those 18 and older. Pre-registration is required and can be completed in one of two ways:

• In person at the Youth Sports Plex, 195 Chaffee Road
• Online HERE.
• Day-of registration will be available, but cash only will be accepted on race day!
