Celebrate America's 250th Birthday

The festivities will kick off right here on post with Pop Goes the Fort at Biggs Park on 27 June. Gates will open at 4pm for this FREE celebration made for the Soldiers, Families, Retirees, and Civilians who stand beside them. We are proud to welcome this year's headliner: Chris Young! We will also be featuring performances from Hot Chelle Rae, local artist Krystall Poppin and the 1AD Band!

Annual Fort Bliss Celebration:

Armed Forces Day Parade

Each year on the third Saturday of May, Fort Bliss joins communities across the country in honoring the men and women who serve in all branches of the United States Armed Forces. We're keeping that tradition alive and want you to come celebrate with us on 16 May!

Join us from 10am to 2pm, where our parade kicks off alongside Historic Commanders Row. With thousands in attendance, we have partnered with community organizations, high school bands, car clubs, local businesses, and military vehicles. This energy is nothing short of extraordinary!

The parade route will begin at Building 500, turning left onto Merritt Road, then right onto Sheridan Road. From there, it will continue with a right onto Ruhlen and a final right onto Pershing Road.

Once the parade wraps up, the festivities continue right at Bliss Smith Field with military static displays, military working dog demonstrations, extreme inflatables, a food truck court, games, incredible sponsors, and much more for the whole family to enjoy.

We hope to see you on 16 May as we come together to honor our Armed Forces at this FREE event — no registration required!

Purple Up for MCCASA

Earlier this month, our community came together at Freedom Crossing to celebrate the strength, spirit, and resiliency of our military children. We filled the space with so much excitement and a whole lot of purple in honor of the Month of the Military Child and in support of MCCASA's mission.

Attendees either wore purple to support our military children or blue to stand in solidarity with Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness and one thing was clear: Our Fort Bliss community really showed up.

Building Resiliency Through the

Great Outdoors with ODR

The Roberto Loeza Soldier Activity Center (SAC) is the first of its kind in the Army. Conveniently located near Soto PFC and the Aquatics Training Center, the SAC also serves as the home of our Outdoor Recreation (ODR) Program, offering a one‑stop location for sign‑ups, resources, and adventure‑focused programming.

ODR is launching two major endurance challenges designed to encourage physical activity, personal resilience, and outdoor exploration throughout the summer for our Fort Bliss Soldiers, Families, Retirees & Civilians. From 1 May through 30 September, participants can take part in either the Hiking Challenge, the Biking Challenge, or BOTH! Each program offers multiple distance tiers, allowing individuals to set goals that match their fitness level and pace.

For more information on both challenges, click HERE.

Registration is open now and remains available throughout the summer! Participants may sign up at the Soldier Activity Center for $50/challenge or call 915‑744‑1532.
