Pop Goes the Fort once again delivered an unforgettable Independence Day celebration, welcoming more than 20,000 Soldiers, Families, and members of the El Paso community to Biggs Park for an evening of patriotism, entertainment, and family fun!
Fort Bliss MWR opened up the splash pad for the first time at Pop Goes the Fort! We also had a variety of food trucks, inflatables, and concert performances from Fort Bliss' 1AD Band, Krsytall Poppin, Hot Chelle Rae, and our headliner Chris Young! We ended the night with the largest and longest fireworks display across Fort Bliss and El Paso!
These events can't happen without our incredible sponsors and and we want to thank them for their continued support: USAA, GECU, First Command, Texas Roadhouse - Fort Bliss, Armed Forces Bank, Stovall's Hotels, Freedom Crossing, Telemundo, Destination El Paso, Army Substance Abuse Program, Charlie Clark Nissan, and Serenity Services, along with the volunteers, emergency responders, service members and MWR staff who made the night a success.
But the celebration didn't stop at Pop Goes the Fort. We celebrated the whole week with events between 28 June and 4 July before the finale at the Convention Center Plaza with our friends at Destination El Paso!
Together, the weeklong celebrations showcased the Borderland at its best, further proving that Fort Bliss is El Paso and El Paso is Fort Bliss. With Fort Bliss' status as the #1 Installation in the Army and El Paso's status as the #1 Big City to live in 2026-2027, the message is clear: one community, one celebration, unstoppable together!
