Mandatory Closure of Non-Essential Business

On Monday, the Government of Ontario announced that all non-essential enterprises will be required to close their doors, however, all businesses are allowed to continue operating if they do it remotely. Officials released a list of which workplaces are considered essential later that evening. Please review the announcement, and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

ErRT
Economic Rapid Response Team - Business Impact Survey
In a unified effort, mayors across Niagara announced a new initiative to support businesses last week, the  Economic Rapid Response Team (ERRT) . They are now calling for local businesses to complete the Niagara COVID-19 Business Impact Survey . From the ERRT:

'As Niagara prepares to address these new-found challenges data will be critical, not only in identifying the specific impacts of COVID-19 on business, but also in targeting assistance efforts as the economy begins to recover. We're looking to the business community to provide us with insight on the impacts to business so we can advocate on your behalf.

Please fill out the short survey to help in the documentation of impacts and inform recovery planning and additional supports for Niagara's business community.'

Resources From Members in Our Chamber Community
To further support our member organizations and facilitate connections, we have launched a new webpage as a space for members to share ways they can serve others during the COVID-19 crisis.

This is a critical time to support local businesses - and we want to help share that businesses in Grimsby are still willing and able to operate!  Learn what your Chamber colleagues can do for you - and submit your own blurb if you have services or products to share!

We're also opening that space for members to post any resources they need from the community. Please contact us if you would like anything listed on the page.
