Q: Does the City use pesticides?
A: Ashland uses herbicides in select medians and rare park exceptions to reduce worker hazards and meet the safety rules under its Integrated Pest Management Plan. See the full answer.
Q: Where can I find information on trash and recycling services during the holidays?
A: Recology Ashland oversees trash and recycling for the residents of Ashland. Typically, they do not run service on legal holidays. For your scheduled pick up times during the holidays, reach out to them Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 541-482-1471 or via email, CustomerService103@Recology.com.

Construction at the Electrical Substation on East Nevada Street
Upgrades to the PacifiCorp electrical substation on East Nevada Street began in September 2025.
As part of the ongoing work, fans powered by a generator will be operating 24/7 for the duration of the project. PacifiCorp is currently exploring sound-dampening solutions, as construction is anticipated to continue through mid-to-late December.
