Merry Christmas, First Community members and friends!

Our Christmas Eve celebrations were beautiful. We saw our largest attendance in many years, including overflow crowds at 5 and 9 pm. Thank you to the musicians, staff team members, volunteers, and more who made these inspiring services possible.

Today, Julie and I completed our 2023 pledge giving, added a gift for the Christmas Eve offering supporting our Refugee and Friends of the Homeless ministries, and made an over-and-above pledge Christmas gift to First Community. If you would like to make a gift to First Community, you can do so here

We have some amazing plans for ministry in 2024, including my January sermon series, "I'll Be There for You: Exploring Faith and the Friends Sitcom," and our first Spiritual Searcher event of the new year with the Rev. Dr. Karen Georgia Thompson, the General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ, January 27-28.

I'll have much to share with you this week in my all-church email, A Word from Glen," coming this Friday, December 29.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
