Recently, the banking industry has seen an increase in spoofing scams associated with impersonation fraud. Imposters are actively attempting to contact customers via phone call or text, claiming to be from the bank’s fraud department. These scams typically say there has been a suspicious debit card charge on your account, and you must verify your information to stop the fake fraud attempt. However, this spoofed message gives imposters an opportunity to steal your personal information, such as your debit card number, CVV code, address, or PIN number.

Financial institutions will never ask you to confirm or share any personal or sensitive information. If you are uncomfortable with any phone call or text, you should end the conversation and contact us directly at an established phone number.

Raymond James Community Bankers Cup Awarded to Southside
