SCHOOL START TIMES
After the Clear Creek ISD School Start Time Advisory Committee could not come to a unified recommendation, The CCISD Board of Trustees approved the Superintendent’s recommendation to maintain the current school start and end time schedule for the 2020-2021 school year.

As part of the board-approved recommendations, the school district will launch a "healthy family campaign," which will include research on student sleep habits for all ages and explore innovative ways to ease the time pressure on students.

The Strategic Planning Action Team will begin working on an internal review of homework expectations across the school district in January of 2020 to bring consistency to the timing and volume of students after-school work.
LATEST NEWS
DESIGN STUDENTS GIVE BACK
Students in the advanced fashion design course at Clear Lake High School used their skills for good by completing a service project for a Galveston County School Liaison Officer in need on campus.

Officer Nicholas   Carrillo's son, Luke, was diagnosed with cancer at seven months old. The students altered special onesies for Luke to keep the cords from tangling while he receives chemotherapy treatment. Students at Clear Lake Intermediate and Ward Elementary also collected items to help the Carrillo family during this tough time.

THE VOLUNTEER CHEER
Clear Creek ISD schools hold a feast to celebrate Thanksgiving during the last half of November so students and their families have an opportunity to spend time together at school.

This Volunteer Cheer goes out to the nearly 250 staff, students, parents, PTA members, grandparents, teachers and other CCISD leaders who volunteered to help serve the meals to families throughout various schools.

The Child Nutrition staff and volunteers play a huge role in making this event such a delicious success!
