CCISD CELEBRATES 70 YEARS
As the Clear Creek Independent School District marks its 70th anniversary throughout this school year, there is a rich history of tradition and excellence to be celebrated. From initial consolidation in 1948 to the founding of the Johnson Space Center in 1961 and surpassing 40,000 students in 2014, the CCISD family has grown by leaps and boundaries throughout its history. 

The stories and history of the District lie within the memories of residents and stakeholders of these 13 cities. If you were a student, teacher, bus driver or had any special connection with CCISD over the past 70 years, we want to hear from you. Written stories, photos and videos may be featured in one of CCISD's newsletters, social media sites or the District’s 70th Anniversary web page. BOND UPDATE
The Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees approved the schematic design for the Clear View High School rebuild project at the November 26 Regular Meeting. The schematic design is the first phase of the large-scale project and is based upon site conditions, programming requirements, and phasing considerations.

THE VOLUNTEER CHEER
This Volunteer Cheer goes out to the many Science and Engineering Fair judges who contribute their time to serve and support CCISD students’ scientific aspirations every year. 

The annual event has all the materials and elements of the perfect partnership: inquisitive students, patient parents, guiding teachers and a supportive community. It is that final ingredient, however, in the form of the volunteer Science Fair Judge, which helps bring the Fair to successful fruition each year.

CCISD Science and Engineering Fair Director Mike Jenkins has volunteered as a judge for 22 years. Jenkins has served as director for more than 10 years. “I am passionate about the Fair because through this experience, I gained confidence to speak publicly," he said. "Having to present your project is a scary thing for high school students, and then gaining this confidence will serve you for the rest of your life.”
STUDENT-TEACHER INNOVATIVE GRANTS
Congratulations to the students from Bay Elementary, Hyde Elementary and Clear Springs High School who received 2018-2019 Student-Teacher Innovative Grants (STIGs) totaling more than $10,000 from the Clear Creek Education Foundation! STIGs are awarded to an individual student or a team of students who apply under the guidance and sponsorship of a teacher. They are used to enhance student learning by stimulating student creativity and supporting innovative learning projects. 
GO PUBLIC GULF COAST
Go Public Gulf Coast is a 501 c3, nonprofit, and a collaboration of 14 Independent School Districts throughout the Gulf Coast region. Over the course of the school year, they will showcase and promote the wonderful things happening throughout all of our schools.
