Free exercise workouts you can do at home during the coronavirus shutdown 

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, fitness studios have closed their doors, but that doesn't mean all exercise is canceled. There are hundreds of free fitness virtual classes that can be accessed from a computer, phone or tablet at home, and with minimal to zero gym equipment required. Below are a variety of workout videos for all ages, abilities and intensities--from yoga to dance, gentle stretching to full on cardio. Get moving and have fun! 

  1. Active by Popsugar  Stay Active at Home: with over 500 fitness classes, including content from celebrity trainers and experts in strength, cardio, yoga and Pilates. 
  2. Blogilates  Cassey Ho coaches you through virtual workouts lasting no more than 30 minutes. 
  3. CorePower Yoga  CorePower Yoga is offering everyone free access to a new collection of online yoga and meditation classes every week so you can keep your practice moving--wherever you are. 
  4. Fitness Blender  Fitness Blender is led by the husband and wife team of Daniel and Kelli Segars. It’s a good fit for both men and women, providing strength and cardio circuit training workouts with good instruction on form. All the workouts are completely free. 
  5. Go4Life  Go4Life is an exercise and physical activity campaign from the National Institute on Aging at NIH designed to help you fit exercise and physical activity into your daily life. Sample exercises and workouts. 
  6. HASfit  Free, full length workout videos for all fitness levels. HASfit stands for Heart And Soul fitness because they believe everyone deserves to be fit. That’s why over the past 7 years they’ve given away over 100 million free workouts! 
  7. Life Time  Life Time is offering public access to their workout videos, divided into categories such as strength, cardio, and yoga--for all ages from seniors to kids. 
  8. Pamela Reif’s Video Workouts  Even though 20 minutes may not seem like a long enough time to get your sweat on, you will be breathless halfway through this video.Choose between full body, arms, abs, and even yoga sessions. 
  9. P.E. with Joe  In his "P.E. with Joe" videos, Joe Wicks — a father of two who goes by The Body Coach on social media — leads kids, and their families, through 30 minutes of jumping jacks, mountain climbers and other sweat-inducing moves. 
  10. Sweaty Betty  Wonderful online classes that are full of easy exercises to do at home. No matter whether you have experience doing fitness classes or are a complete beginner, Sweaty Betty has something that will get you working at an appropriate level. 
  11. YMCA 360 On-Demand Classes  The Y continues to be your support for health and wellbeing, wherever you are. Whether it's a current Y favorite or something new to you, YMCA 360 matches your lifestyle with a growing library of free online videos for you and your family. 
  12. Yoga with Adriene  Want a low-key yoga practice? Try Adriene Mishler’s free yoga YouTube videos have more than 500 million views. She has a video for everything, from long morning routines to quick, post-run stretches and movements for neck pain.
