Vibrant fall colors are surrounding us at our farms. Cool crisp nights with sunny warm days reminds us that winter is just a few months away.
It's been a strange fall with no fairs, and no cheesesteaks. We miss them ourselves! Nonetheless, there are never a lack of projects on the farm.
Pitcher Mountain Farm: Summer calves are growing and we are finishing up our haying at our Pitcher Mountain Farm! Animals are grazing upon what is left of the pastures and the growing season is just about over. This fall, take the short hike up to Pitcher Mountain fire tower and enjoy the colors and beauty of the surrounding mountains and landscape.
Warner: Fall clean up as begun at Yankee Farmer's Market. We hope to complete some last minute projects before the snow flies. We have lots of cleaning and painting to do as well as a few new modifications on how we operate. We are continuing to modify and adapt to the changing times and the needs of our customers.
Our store will continue to be open 10-5 Tuesday & Thursday; Saturdays 9-4 and all other times by appointment. Feel free to come visit the store and animals!
Our CSA shares have been very popular this summer and fall as it does give you a nice variety of meats for the whole family to enjoy. We run 5 ten-week shares throughout the year. Our Fall share started last week, but is still available for late sign ups. Our Holiday share starts in November and will include a delicious Fresh Thanksgiving Turkey if you so desire.
Meat packages such as 1/6 or 1/4 Buffalo, 1/4 or 1/2 of Beef or Pork, our Chicken Packages and Fall Harvest Packages are continuing to be great options for those looking to fill their freezers 2 or 3 times per year.
