The COVID 19 pandemic has laid bare the plight of U.S. seniors, who have been disproportionately infected and killed by the disease. Eight out of 10 COVID deaths in the U.S. are seniors, aged 65 or older, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control. Up to 70 percent of COVID hospitalizations are of people aged 85 and older. The molecular impacts of COVID infections also increase the risk of depression and vulnerability to other illnesses for elderly people. Read more

Testing will take place on Fridays from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at South Sacramento Christian Center located at 7710 Stockton Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95823.

COVID-19 Testing Sites in Sacramento Region
There are several COVID-19 testing sites now in the Sacramento Region. I actually had the opportunity last week to take a tour (05.15.2020) of one of the new COVID-19 testing sites along with other community members and watch a demo of the test being offered done at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Oak Park - Sacramento.
