Member Spotlight

This month we are pleased to introduce you to one of our longtime members, Holly Kenney! Holly has been a member of the YMCA for over ten years, and her son Patrick serves on our Board of Directors.

Holly is a loyal participant of Sarah's 10:00am Forever Fit and Chair Yoga classes- she attends every day! She started attending after her son and daughter recommended them, and fell in love with the classes and other participants. She enjoys the socialization and misses the lunches the members would have together before the pandemic hit. It is not easy for Holly to get up and go places- it takes her a lot longer than most. She has spastic paralysis which affects her gait movement and makes it hard to control her muscle movement. Coming to the Y is how she chooses to take care of herself. She says it's very important to continuing moving and exercising. Thank you for being a motivation, Holly! We are so happy that you dedicate time to do something for yourself every day!
