For anything less urgent please reach the Sheriff’s non-emergency line at 916‑874‑5115. You’re also welcome to contact the FEC District office at 916‑927‑3802 or send us an online submission (Click Here).
Programs: Registration for the FEC Stingray Aquatic teams opened in February and runs through April. Sign-ups for Adventure Club and Teen Lounge 360 summer camps start March 24th. Park Improvements: Alongside our Measure Q projects, FEC is always looking for ways to make our parks safer and more enjoyable for everyone in the community. If you spot an area that could use a little extra care, whether it’s maintenance or another improvement please let us know. Your feedback helps us keep our parks at their best!
You can submit your suggestions online by clicking here.

| | | Event Recap: Annual Trout Fishing Derby | | | If you wandered anywhere near the water on Saturday, February 21st, you probably saw the rods in hand, early-morning coffee in the air, and over 180 hopeful anglers ready for a day of friendly competition. That’s right, it was time for FEC’s annual Fishing Derby! This year, the action doubled with not one, but two separate contests, so there was twice the chance to brag about your catch.
The excitement wouldn’t have been possible without a big boost from California’s Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Fishing in the City program, who helped stock the waters and spread the word. And let’s not forget the behind-the-scenes magic from the folks at California Fly Fishers Unlimited, whose volunteers tied flies, untangled lines, and cheered on every cast.
Whether you landed a whopper or just enjoyed the sun and stories, this Fishing Derby was a day to remember. If you missed it, don’t worry there’s always next year, and maybe you’ll be the one reeling in the big one!
