Eye Care


  • Thursday, March 13th from 11 to 6 pm
  • one stop shop for the eyes. They will do eye test, give prescriptions, and have eye glasses on site for you to choose from; all covered by ODSP or UCI.

Community Events

The March Living with HIV Drop-In session will be focussed on wellness and will feature a presentation by a naturopath. For the month of March, this session will be held at Casey House. Dinner will be served. Register here:

This is an opportunity for queer folks to participate in group discussions, specific mindfulness activities (in-group and outside of group) and some tools and education drawn from Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Lunch is served. Register here:

Volunteer of the Month

Lagertha Sylvanus


Lagertha began volunteering at PWA shortly after arriving in Canada from Turkey about a year ago. A fashion-forward trans woman, Lagertha is dedicated to assisting community members in the boutique, where her keen sense of style shines through. She thoughtfully selects clothing for members and skillfully arranges racks and displays, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Her unique experiences and cultural insights enrich her work, fostering a more inclusive and relatable environment. Lagertha’s journey from her homeland to Toronto is a powerful story of strength, resilience, and hope.
