APRIL:

This month, we're focusing on keeping those assignment submissions on track.

Tip: Did you know you can easily see which assignments your child is missing?

Use the "Missing Assignments" feature to get a clear overview and stay informed.

Trick: To make sure those missing assignments don't become a bigger problem, schedule a weekly check-in with your child.

Review their missing work together and create a plan to catch up before deadlines pass. This proactive approach can make a huge difference!

2025 Seniors and guardians: Scholarship night will be May 7, 2025. Scholarships are available on the MHS website and in the Counseling Office. We encourage all seniors to apply. The scholarships will be updated as they become available. Any questions, please contact your counselor.

Hello Marine families!

Just a few reminders for this month as we roll into April.

First, we have been scheduling students into classes for next year.  At this point, students have entered their requests into Skyward with our assistance and we will be moving towards creating the schedule.  If you have any questions about classes your son/daughter has picked, please reach out to their school counselor.  Students with last names beginning A-M will contact Mrs. Klein and those students with last names beginning L-Z will contact Ms. Zablocki.  You can call 715-735-1305 and be transferred to their office.

Second, please make sure your son/daughter is getting to school every day and on time, including homeroom and Anchor Hour.  If students receive a 3rd or 4th tardy from their teacher they will have to serve a detention with that teacher after school.  Repeated tardies will be detentions after school until 4 pm plus a parent meeting with their teacher and me.  Also, as grades for fourth term start to come in, please double check Skyward and Canvas to monitor what their grades are and if they have any missing assignments.  All grades are due from teachers by April 4th.

Spring sports season is underway.  We will be having a number of athletes participating throughout the school year.  We only have one term left of the school year which concludes on Thursday, June 5th!

The end of the year is going to come quickly so please be sure to keep monitoring those grades and attendance.  Thank you for all that you do to make our school and district such a great place to be!

Mr. Draheim

Spring is here, and with it comes a flurry of activity and excitement at MHS. As we move into April, we encourage students to stay focused and committed to their academic goals. Students must prioritize rest, maintain healthy habits, and implement effective study strategies. Parents and guardians can support their students by helping them establish consistent study routines and ensuring they get plenty of rest during this busy season.

For our seniors, the countdown to graduation is officially on! This is an exciting and memorable time, but it’s also a busy one. Seniors are reminded to stay on top of their coursework and other graduation requirements. Graduation on May 28th is a milestone moment for students, families, and staff alike. Let’s make these final weeks truly special for our seniors. Seniors and their families should anticipate more information about graduation being sent out in the next week.

We invite you to join us on April 16th for our “Marine Showcase” from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. On this night, we will celebrate many of the great things our students have accomplished this school year, whether in the classroom, on stage, or in athletics. We will also provide a light meal for those who attend.  We hope to see you there.

April is also packed with spring activities and celebrations. One of the highlights is Prom, scheduled for April 26th, promising an unforgettable evening of fun, music, and memories. Meanwhile, our spring sports teams and activities are in full swing, showcasing their talent and dedication. As always, we encourage everyone to come out and support our athletes, musicians, and performers. Check the school website for game schedules, concert dates, and performance times.

Thank you for your continued partnership, dedication, and support. Let’s make the most of this season by finishing the year strong and celebrating our students' many accomplishments. Together, we’ll continue striving for success and creating lasting memories.
