Construction Look Ahead

Construction activities remain weather dependent. Below is a preview of scheduled work in West Hartford Center over the next two weeks.

Feb. 23 Feb. 27 (Weather Dependent)

Farmington Avenue (Walden Street to Dale Street)

  • Gerber will continue installation of soil cells.
  • Electrical Contractor is on call to install conduits through newly installed soil cells for future street lighting.

LaSalle Road

  • Electrical Contractor will return to complete remaining electrical work.

March 2 – March 6 (Weather Dependent)

Farmington Avenue (Walden Street to Dale Street)

  • Soil cell installation will continue heading east toward Dale Street.
  • Electrical Contractor will remain on call to install conduits for street lights within newly installed soil cells.

Farmington Avenue (Main Street to Chipotle)

  • A second crew will mobilize to begin work along Main Street to Chipotle (966 Farmington Avenue).

Project Updates

Tree removal was successfully completed on the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 17. As seen previously on LaSalle Road, new trees will be planted using an innovative soil cell system designed to support healthier root growth while protecting sidewalks and infrastructure from future damage.

This approach allows for a greater number of trees and promotes long-term sustainability in the Center.

The Retail Validation Program:

A Reduced Rate Employee Parking Option for Your Staff

As construction progresses, we're working to maximize on-street parking for customers and visitors. To help, we encourage employees to use alternative parking options, including the Town Center Parking Garage, which offers reduced rates for retail and restaurant employees working in the Center.

The Town Center Garage rates are far lower than other options! The rates are $4.50 for up to an 8.5-hour shift and $7 for anything over 8.5 hours.
