SMUD IS MAKING BIG CHANGES TO SOLAR BENEFITS
If you're a SMUD customer who has considered solar installation, now is the time. We're not just saying that to sell you something. SMUD is making big changes. Solar customers on the existing Net Energy Metering (NEM 1.0) rate can remain on that rate through 2030. They receive ~ .14¢ for each kWh that SMUD buys back. After
March 1, 2022, new customers participating in this program will only receive 7.4¢/kWh. Wow, right?

As our valued customer, we want our customers to be informed so that they can take advantage of the higher rate by getting solar NOW. Is this you? Time to Change the Battery!
Have you changed your smoke alarm batteries lately? Don't wait until that 2 a.m. wake-up alert that the battery is low (why does it always happen when we're fast asleep??). It's recommended that you change the batteries twice a year. So get those fresh batteries in and mark you calendar for July to do it again!
