ACSI Choral Festival 

The Young Charger Chorale and Middle School choirs will compete in the ACSI Choral Festival on February 9th, and the High School Choir will compete on March 3rd. Congratulations and good luck!

Information regarding the outcome for the Festival will be in next month's newsletter. 
BAND KUDOS
Becca Moore, Jaylan Hinton, Thomas Williams, Terrell Davis, 
and Jacob Strader were selected to attend 
THE 67TH ANNUAL U.G.A. JANUARY HIGH SCHOOL BAND FESTIVAL: JANUARY 19-22, 2017!

Jacob Strader will also be participating in the District Honor Band at the end of the month.

The Junior Class will deliver "Valentine Grams" on Monday, February 13th & Tuesday, February 14th.  Place your order now!  Fill out the order form and return it to your homeroom teacher or Vicki Martin NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7th.  Please make checks payable to ELCA Junior Class.  Orders totaling $5.00 or more may be charged to your school account.  Order forms must include the name on your account and your signature.

ELCA Seniors Take on Disney World!
78 of our senior students traveled to Disney earlier this month for a week to celebrate their years at ELCA!
Anna Ivey, Director of Student Support Services at ELCA has authored a  book that is now available from  http://www.anothernewcalligraphy.com

Anna King Ivey's  into the leftover blue  examines the legacy of a forgotten pandemic as a means of reconciling the grief of a deceased parent. Opening as a third person analysis of historical sources detailing the outbreak and its aftermath, the narrative ultimately shifts to a first person acceptance of death and its lingering ache. It reminds us time is often the only remedy for catastrophe, no matter its scale.
