I look forward to working with the new Board for the coming year in continuing the momentum that has been set forth by the current President, Chris Reynolds, in supporting and helping to advance all of our athletic programs. ARTISTIC ADVENTURES

---DRAMA---

ELCA Fine Arts Department is proud to announce the

Annual Spring Theatrical Musical Production.

"Oliver" is the very famous and classic Broadway musical adaption of Charles Dickens classic novel "Oliver Twist."

This is a wonderful musical full of singing, dancing and wonderful characters. Make plans now for your entire family to attend.

The lead and title role of Oliver, goes to one very talented young lady from our elementary school named Rachel Jones.
She will be playing the part as a boy. Rachel has very graciously agreed to have her beautiful long hair cut in order to suit the role.

Also, nine very talented high school students were chosen to play the other lead roles.

Fagin: Jared Denk

Nancy: Dalis dela Mothe

Artful Dodger: Zion Middleton

Bill Sikes: Stephen Blackburn

Widow Corney: Ciara Mangan

Bet: Rachel Boozer

Mr. Sowerberry: RaeAnne Malley

Mrs. Sowerberry: Alexei Young

Mr. Brownlow: Nick Edmondson

We also have one faculty member performing the part of Mr. Bumble.  Our very own and very talented Mr. Clayton McClure.

Oliver is a HUGE show, and is very accurately described as a theatrical spectacle. There will be over 150 ELCA students performing is this three hour production. In fact, everyone in the Fine Arts department at ELCA is busy working on this great show. The orchestra, under the direction of Jay Davis is made up entirely of ELCA students, and is already in full rehearsal. The Young Charger Chorale's forty seven elementary age choir members, under the direction of Mrs. Laurie Coffey, is also in full rehearsal and prepping for their performance as the workhouse orphans. There are forty middle school students from the middle school drama class that are prepping four huge song and dance numbers.  They are performing the part of the street gang of kids that take Oliver in. Finally, the fifty students in the high school drama class have been broken up into two different rehearsal groups. The first group is made up of twenty five of our best singers and actresses that are performing all of the big choral numbers in the show. This team of amazingly talented young ladies is under the direction of Kim Creasey, our music director for the show. The second group is made up of twenty five of our best high school dancers that will be carrying the primary load as far as all of the choreography goes. All of the choreography for this show is being created and coached by our very own and very famous India Scandrick.

This musical production is going to be absolutely amazing.   "Oliver" is sure to be our greatest Spring musical yet.
Save the dates on your calendars now. You don't want to miss this one.

See you at the show!!

Chuck Ekstedt
Director

ELCA NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL

What an exciting time to be a part of the ELCA family! Our school is being presented with the opportunity to purchase this entire campus and have all of these facilities for our sole dedicated use. Join us as we take this next step of faith to secure the legacy of our school.

We will have some immediate needs and projected needs as the vision unfolds.  It will take a lot of resources to make this a reality and this is where you can help.

In order to maximize ELCA's opportunities of leveraging the support from outside Foundation via grants, it is critical that we have full 100% participation in giving to the ELCA Fund from each of our existing families.

If you have not yet made your contribution to this year's ELCA Fund, please do so today either on-line at www.elcaonline.org/give, or by picking up a donation form in the front lobby.  No donation is too small, as all gifts are equal when looking at our overall family giving percentage.  Please contact Director of Development Al Hosford at (678) 818-1031 with any questions, and we look forward to your support.

Director of Development
