Stay Safe Online: Look Both Ways Before You Click

Look both ways before crossing the street.

✅ Check, got that one!

If only it were that simple to keep yourself “safe” online.

What surprises could be in store, around the corner?

What’s at stake? Your life savings!

Like car traffic — it’s a moving target.

Don’t freeze in the stop walk. We have to keep moving…

The digital world has its own wave of traffic. It is fast-moving, unpredictable, and sometimes dangerous. We also have to look both ways before crossing…online!

Four Ways to Stay Safe Online

1. Strengthen Your Passwords

  • Use strong, unique passwords for every account.
  • Store them in a secure password manager.
  • Turn on Two-Factor Authentication whenever possible.

2. Browse Smart

  • Only visit trusted websites.
  • Avoid clicking random ads or pop-ups — even if they look tempting.

3. Spot the “Phish” 🐟

  • If it looks phishy, smells phishy, or feels “off” — it probably is.
  • Never click suspicious links or attachments, especially from unknown senders.

4. Update Your Devices

  • Install and regularly update your security software.
  • Those updates protect you from new scams and viruses.
