SOU Theatre 26/27 Mainstage Season

Join us for our Main Stage series. Fully realized, large-scale productions - tickets $20-25, free admission for SOU Students/Employees. Including free for students, of any school, for up to 2 tickets.

The Welkin: Nov 12th - 22nd 2026

Rural England, 1759. As the country awaits the return of Halley’s comet, a young woman is sentenced to death. When she tries to escape the noose by claiming she is pregnant, twelve ordinary women are gathered to decide whether she is telling the truth. Join us for Lucy Kirkwood's dark, fierce, funny play about democracy and housework.

The Threepenny Opera: Feb 25th - March 7th 2027

Murderous antihero Mackie Messer (a.k.a. Mack the Knife) slashes through Victorian London in Bertolt Brecht’s scandalous satire that electrified German audiences 400 times in just two years after its 1928 debut. A century later, Brecht’s razor-sharp critique of unbridled capitalism still cuts deep—an eerily prophetic vision of a well-fed society teetering on the brink, propelled by Kurt Weill’s infectious, jazz-infused score.

William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night: May 20th - May 30th 2027

Shakespeare's classic tale of love and hijinks! It follows Viola, who disguises herself as a man after a shipwreck, sparking a chaotic love triangle with Duke Orsino and Countess Olivia in the land of Illyria.
