Get to know Heather


Heather Marie Hines joined Ball State Public Media in February 2022. She grew up just outside of Muncie in Selma, IN, graduating from Wapahani High School before moving to New Orleans. Heather returned to Selma in February 2013 with a BS in Accounting and a Master's in Business Administration from Western Governors University. She has worked in non-profits for several years before joining Ball State Public Media.


Since joining the Ball State community, Heather has participated in Safe Zone Training for LGBTQ+ and a program to become an Inclusive Excellence Ambassador. When not working, Heather takes care of her menagerie of dogs, chickens, tortoises, turtles, frogs, reptiles, beetles, and snails.
