From The Editors September 29th, 2020
In this edition of British Columbia Golf's newsletter, we have a couple of great articles on golf as a game for everyone and as a game for life.
Earlier this year, Golf Canada ex-President Leslie Dunning put together a wonderful article in the Spring 2020 issue of Club Manager Quarterly, a publication of The Canadian Society of Club Managers (CSCM) on how golf courses could make their facilities more accessible with respect to those with disabilities.
You can read that article in this issue along with a recently published report by The R&A on how golf "can provide significant health benefits to older participants in the form of improved muscle strength and balance."
Brad Ziemer has the story on Kelowna's Norm Bradley finally getting that elusive BC Championship as well as his latest edition of Ziemer's BC Golf Notes.
You'll also find the background on a terrific new series of children's golf books, a great tip geared toward women golfers on bunker play, and a piece on 9 different fun games you can play with your golf group out on the course.
Enjoy your golf and please stay safe.
