Intent on diversifying the economy beyond tourism and nightlife, officials have heavily incentivized the construction of Class A office buildings in Miami Beach.

Miami Beach Emergency Small Business Expense Reimbursement Grant - Funding Still Available
Small businesses in Miami Beach are encouraged to apply now for a $20,000 emergency grant for rent, mortgage, utilities, payroll, and operating expenses incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic as funding is still available.
 
The grants are awarded on a first-come, first-qualified basis. Interested businesses are encouraged to apply here.
Miami Beach Job Creation Incentive Program
The City of Miami Beach is offering the Job Creation Incentive Program (JCIP), a performance-based incentive adopted by the City Commission. The program aims to strategically attract new financial services and technology companies and expand existing businesses in these sectors, while increasing the number of quality, high wage jobs.

Miami Beach Expedited Plan Review and Permitting Incentive Program
The City of Miami Beach is committed to diversifying the local economy by attracting and retaining targeted industries including financial services and technology.

As part of this effort, the City is also offering an Expedited Plan Review and Permitting Program to incentivize companies in these industries to encourage targeted relocations or expansions and associated development.

PROSPERA Business Seminars
Prospera’s year-round business seminars are presented in Spanish to offer Hispanic/Latino entrepreneurs opportunities to expand knowledge and continue developing skills to start, operate and expand their businesses. Industry experts present on topics such as funding, accounting, marketing/pricing strategies, negotiation and sales, business planning, and more.

CNB Startup Studio

If you are a minority founder and based in Florida this is the opportunity for you to connect with industry leaders, propel your startup to the next level and a chance to win up to $25,000!

City National Bank and eMerge Americas will select 20 early stage startups based in Florida and with diverse founders to participate in a thoughtfully curated CNB Startup Studio program.

The program will consist of 5 webinars (online learning series), hosted once per week, beginning the week of January 12, 2022 and ending the week of February 9th, 2022. At the end of the webinars each week, 4 startups will give 3-minute pitches. By the end of the 5-week webinar series all participating startups would have had an opportunity to make their pitch! Registration is due by January 7, 2022.
