Small Businesses Granted a Lifeline During Pandemic
Learn how two local businesses made it through the pandemic with the help of the City's Small Business Grant Program, and learn how to apply now!

Shuttered Venue Operators Grant
The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) program was established by the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act, and amended by the American Rescue Plan Act. The program includes over $16 billion in grants to shuttered venues, to be administered by SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance.
 
Eligible applicants may qualify for grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million. Two billion dollars is reserved for eligible applications with up to 50 full-time employees.

Miami Dade Beacon Council Resource Guide for Small Business is designed to assist both new and existing businesses in Miami-Dade County by identifying the numerous resources available to help your business prosper. It also offers a quick reference for new or expanding firms doing business in Miami-Dade County.

Made possible by a grant from The Rockefeller Foundation, the Miami Beach Race to Trace Resource Team is made up of seasoned Florida Department of Health (Miami-Dade) contact tracers who provide local businesses with services to keep employees and customers safe during this challenging time.

This new program offers vaccinations on location - The Race to Trace Team will come directly to Miami Beach businesses by appointment to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to employees.

Learn How to do Business with the County!
Join the Small Business Development Division on Wednesday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as they host several meetings geared towards informing the local business community on how to do business with the County, become a vendor, hear about contracting opportunities, and more.
