BUSINESS SPOTLIGHTS
North Beach CRA Approved
The City of Miami Beach is excited to announce the creation of the North Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, or CRA. The special district, similar to the one credited with turning South Beach around during the 80s and 90s, recently received final approval from the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners.

Over the next 30 years, the CRA is expected to generate an estimated $317 million for North Beach, which will be used to fund affordable and workforce housing, as well as infrastructure and community projects.

Visit the Miami Beach Magazine fall edition to learn more about this effort and to hear from North Beach business owners here.
2021 Hispanic Heritage Month Awards
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the passion, culture, and history created by members of the Hispanic and Latino community. The City of Miami Beach is doing just that by recognizing individuals and businesses with the 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month Awards.

The Miami Beach Hispanic Affairs Committee announced this year’s business recipients are Oh Mexico Restaurant, located in South Beach at 1440 Washington Ave and Moises Bakery located in North Beach at 7310 Collins Ave.

The awards are intended to honor members of the Hispanic community who live or work in the City of Miami Beach and who have made a positive contribution to the community in their respective professions.

Miami Beach RFP Class A Office Space
The Miami Beach City Commission unanimously agreed to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to enhance the Lincoln Road district’s appeal as one of the country’s premier mixed-use neighborhoods by adding Class A office space to the mix of restaurants, arts and entertainment venues, boutique hotels, art galleries and retail shops.

The RFP invites developers to propose projects involving three existing city-owned surface parking lots and one city-owned parking garage in the Lincoln Road area. The future development would ultimately connect the nearby Convention Center complex with Lincoln Road and transform North Lincoln Lane from a service alley to a pedestrian-friendly street.

Interested potential developers may register and access the RFP here. For additional information on the RFP please contact Kristy Bada [email protected]
