Kids will enjoy a covered playground and lots of open space to run around. Try your hand at the 9-hole disc golf course, play a game of volleyball at one of the nets, or paddle a kayak on the lake. Drop a line in the water for a good day of fishing, just remember that all Texas Parks and Wildlife rules apply, so you’ll need a fishing license.

Cibolo Nature Center has a great spot to play in the creek! Come walk through a native prairie, wade in the creek, look for wildlife in the spring-fed marsh, and feel the awe of the live oak or cypress canopy while immersing yourselves in the wonders of nature. | |

Open daily.
On the river, you can swim, fish, tube and canoe. While on land, you can camp, hike, ride mountain bikes or horses, picnic, geocache, and bird watch. We loan fishing gear for use in the park.

Boerne Parks and Recreation offers swimming lessons from certified instructors during the summer months. Attendees can sign up for one of five class types depending on the swimmer's skill level.
There are four sessions to pick from. Each session is two weeks long and meets on Tuesdays - Fridays for a total of eight classes per session.

Swimming safety tips:
- Learn to swim.
- Closely supervise children.
- Stay hydrated. Take breaks, wear sunscreen, drink water and avoid alcohol.
- Never swim alone.

COST:$50 per class
Each class is limited to 10 ppl and is suitable for children ages 12 and up.
*Materials are provided for you in the 1st class you attend. Then a list of items to purchase will be available for the next class.
Join international artist, Jeannette MacDougall in watercolor class where you learn to paint with the practice of the basic techniques; glazing, wet-in-wet, dry brush and more. By following a step-by-step progressive approach of a handful of techniques that we combine to establish a solid understanding of this water-based medium. Students will begin with brush strokes, shapes, rendering variation of value, and color-mixing, to create their own paintings. Beginners welcome.

2022 Library Lunch Bunch
LOVE Boerne Kids, a program of the Boerne Community Coalition (BCC), is providing children ages 2-18, who are eligible for the National School Lunch & School Breakfast Programs, free daily lunches during Summer Break.
NOTE: The signup will close THURSDAY AT NOON for the FOLLOWING WEEK. This program is subject to cancellation, if no-shows persist.
- In order to receive a lunch, the child must be signed up by THURSDAY AT NOON for the following week and must be present.
- Children 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Lunches are delivered by 11:00 am & must be picked up by noon.
- Weekend Food Bags are included with Friday lunches only.
- Enjoy all the library offers by having a picnic there or take the lunches to-go.
