WEST RIVER COMMUNITY CENTER
EXTENDED DOWNTIME
We are currently conducting thorough maintenance at the West River Community Center. What does that mean to you? Well it means we will have a shortened annual maintenance week in August. We are waxing floors, having our carpets cleaned, deep cleaning all of our exercise equipment, painting, resurfacing hardwood floors, draining the leisure pool and deep cleaning the pool area and working on many other projects we’re unable to do while the building is in use. We’re taking this opportunity to accomplish all of these projects so that there isn’t another major inconvenience to you later in the year.
MEMBERSHIPS
Those of you who have memberships, no worries, we will not be charging you for the time we are closed. When we do open again, we will assess the amount of time we were closed and take care of our members appropriately.
WRCC APP
Stay connected with our new WRCC Fitness app. Download from your app store today by searching West River Community Center.

A WORD FROM OUR DIETITIAN
Nobody likes getting sick, and it is normal during the cold and flu season to ramp up our efforts to avoid it. There are many ways to try to combat illness, but there are a few that are more effective than others.

COVID-19
With COVID -19 issues currently consuming everything we do in our daily lives, it has also prompted many questions. We wanted to take the opportunity in April’s newsletter to focus on what we’re currently working on, what we’re still offering you, our patrons, and what you can expect from us as we navigate through the Pandemic. That includes information on some special things our staff have put together to get through this time and also frequently asked questions.
PLAY EQUIPMENT CLOSURE
Our parks staff are in the process of hanging up signs and taping off playground structures. Keep in mind, our parks are still open, just the playground equipment will be closed off. It may take the parks staff some time to accomplish this across all parks, but the work is in progress. Please view the NRPA statement on necessary precautions here.
SPRING/SUMMER ACTIVITY REGISTRATION APRIL 22 AT NOON
As it might seem hard to plan for the future right now, lets think positive and plan for our summer! Take this time to look through our Activity Guide and pick the programs and events that your kids would like to do. Better yet, have them pick out what programs they would like to be involved in! Something new this is year, a Intro to T-ball for 4 year olds. This program will be a great way to introduce the game to your little ones.
