Summer 2024 Memories...

Special Events

Our campers had the opportunity to enjoy some incredible entertainment from the community:

Eric Wilzig had us stunned when he made a few of our campers levitate.

Radio Riot brought the Student Center Theater to soaring heights and gave us a live dance party that we'll remember for many years to come.

And let's not forget Slip and Slide Day fueled by a fire truck from Hempstead Fire Department.

There's so much more to come in Summer 2025!

Camp Olympics

As the Summer Olympics were rolling in Paris,

Hofstra Summer Camps hosted our own Camp Olympics.

This full day event brought a healthy dose of competition and camaraderie. From relay races to tug-of-war, it was a day of team spirit and unforgettable memories.

Congratulations to both Blue and Gold!

Travel Week

Our Travel Week is always one of the most sought after programs and again was a huge success this past summer. Campers enjoyed sites like Dave & Busters, the Long Island Aquarium, and Urban Air.

The Pride is on the prowl for exciting adventures in and around our community!

Staff Spotlight:

Allison, Arts and Crafts Specialist!

Allison joined our seasonal team in 2024 and she brought new creative ideas, enthusiasm, and kindness into the arts and crafts tent. With a background in teaching and a passion for nurturing young artists, she made a significant impact on our program last summer and will be back with us in 2025.

When she's not at Hofstra Summer Camps, Allison works for the Long Beach School District and enjoys surfing and ice skating with her daughter, husband, and step-children. A fun fact about Allison—she's a professional figure skater and even was an Islander Girl for the New York Islanders hockey team!

We'll be opening our 2025 registration shortly, make sure to keep your eyes out for a new camp program that Allison will be running during Session 4.

Hofstra Athletics Movie Night

A number of our camp families got together at the Hofstra Athletics Movie Night on August 27th. Families enjoyed the movie "If" on the brand-new turf field at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. We can't wait for more summer movie nights for our families to connect and gather.

Hofstra Athletics Block Party

There was an awesome turn out of families across the community, including a number from Hofstra Summer Camps at the Block Party held at the Hofstra Men's Soccer home opener against Binghamton University. Families enjoyed inflatables, a classic barbecue, and fantastic giveaways prior to the game. A good time was had by all!
